I am 33, and still to this day stop and watch Golden Girls every time I see it on the air. I watched it when I was younger with my Grandmother, who is now gone, and we both just LOVED Estelle & her character Sophia. Rest in peace, and thank you so much for all the laughter over the years!

I'd say the saddest and biggest loss in 2008 occurred in July with the passing of Estelle. Boy, she's missed! However, thanks to reruns, Estelle has left us with her best in the character of Sophia. Estelle will go down in history as one of the most talented ladies on TV. She was awesome in that role, and her one-liners were priceless! Miss you much Estelle!! Thanks for being a friend. You've certainly earned your place in heaven.

Sophia remind me of my mom whom i lost when she was 82 my mom was full blooded italian and she won't think twice to tell you what she thought or to flip you off, but never said the F word. Sophia look so much like my mom, watching sophia made me feel like my mom was still there. She loved the golden girls never miss a show, thank you for all the laughs you have brought in to my lfe and others.
